About Tournament

The 2024 Women's Asian Champions Trophy is the 8th edition of the Women's Asian Champions Trophy, a biennial field hockey tournament for the six best Asian women's national teams organized by the Asian Hockey Federation. The Bihar Women's Asian Champions Trophy 2024 tournament will take place in Rajgir, India from 11th to 20th November 2024, reflects a blend of sports and heritage. Each element highlights Bihar's rich history and its growing role in international sports.

This will mark the second time, and the second consecutive time, that India will host the tournament.

The official mascot for the Bihar Women's Asian Champions Trophy 2024 is named Gudiya, inspired by the house sparrow, the state bird of Bihar. This small yet resilient bird, though once common, is now an endangered species due to habitat loss and environmental challenges, By choosing the sparrow as the mascot, Bihar pays tribute to its value, showcasing the sparrow's symbolic representation of identity and resilience-traits shared by the players competing in this prestigious tournament.
